Our Mission
Speak Up for Kids of Palm Beach County, Inc. raises funds to support Palm Beach County’s Guardian ad Litem Program in their efforts to recruit, train and support Guardians ad Litem (GALs). GALs are court-appointed volunteers who serve as advocates for the best interests of abused, abandoned and neglected children involved in dependency court proceedings.
Speak Up! for Kids was born to meet a vital need rarely addressed in our Palm Beach County community, the representation and protection of abused, abandoned and neglected children. Every child deserves to be heard - GALs speak up for kids’ best interests.
As a non-profit partner, Speak Up for Kids provides vital support to the Guardian ad Litem Program, enabling it to represent more children, while leveraging state support with donations from the corporate and private sectors.
Our Vision
To ensure that every child involved in dependency court proceedings in Palm Beach County has an advocate, a GAL, to Speak Up for their best interests - emotional, educational, environmental, health and social. Speak Up! for Kids of Palm Beach County is the exclusive avenue for private and corporate giving to the Guardian Ad Litem Program in our community.
